What is the Kansas Western Horseman's Association (KWHA)?

The Kansas Western Horseman’s Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Western horsemanship and equine-related activities in Kansas. We host events, horse shows, and trail rides, and support the equine community in the region.

How do I become a member of KWHA?

To become a member, you can reach out to any saddle club to request membership. Some clubs are closed and require a membership fee, while others are open and free to ride under. Visit our saddle clubs page to see a list of all saddle clubs.

Do I need to own a horse to join KWHA?

No! Whether you own a horse or are just passionate about horses, everyone is welcome to join. We have members who are riders, trainers, ranchers, and supporters of the equine industry. Some members of our organization do not ride horses but just help out at our events.

What kind of events does KWHA host?

KWHA hosts a variety of events, including horse shows, trail rides, clinics, and social gatherings.

How can I participate in KWHA events?

To participate in KWHA events, you can volunteer to help out and attend shows or other events. You can view the different KWHA events on our calendar. To ride in a show, you must be a member of a saddle club.

Where does KWHA operate, and who can join?

KWHA operates in Kansas, but we welcome any members who are interested in our events. Some of our members can be found in our surrounding states, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Colorado.

Does KWHA offer youth programs or activities?

KWHA largely focuses on families and youth, so all events are youth-oriented and focused.

What are the membership dues, and how do I pay?

KWHA does not have individual membership dues. Saddle clubs in the association may have dues depending on which saddle club you may want to join. Please visit our saddle clubs page and reach out to a saddle club near you.
