KWHA Spring Kickoff – Schedule of Events  

10am-12pm – KWHA Board of Directors Meeting 

·         Open to the General Membership 

10am-12pm – Fort Hays Rodeo Team Free Clinic – No Horses 

     Fort Hays Rodeo Team Members will give instruction and     

     provide hands-on training for the following events 

·         Team Roping 

·         Tie Down Roping 

·         Break Away Roping 

·         Goat Tying 

Open to All KWHA Members adults and kids, bring your friends, bring ropes and strings if you have them. 

12pm-2pm – Soup Potluck Lunch 

·         KWHA Board Members will bring the soup 

·         KWHA Members to bring a side dish 

1pm-2pm – Judges Test 

·         Any member that has been in the association for one year or more and is 21 years of age is eligible to take the judges test and become a KWHA Judge. 

1:15pm-1:30pm – Secretary Meeting 

·         Cover any rule changes that affect the local clubs and secretary functions 

·         Update contact information for club secretaries 

1:30pm-1:45pm – Judges Meeting 

·         Cover rule changes that were passed in 2024 and answer questions about those changes 

2pm-3pm – Judges Clinic presented by Deana Wiggers-Reh-Leverett 

·         Everyone is welcome to attend 

·         Providing Instruction and Judging Technics for KWHA Judged Classes 

o   Horsemanship, Western Pleasure and Reining (if time permits). 

3pm – General Meeting 

·         Bring your own chair
